Professional Experience
13 years of teaching kids ages 2-8 (10) in the community centers and an elementary School in Burnaby and Vancouver teaching creative dance, pre-ballet, Spanish Classic dances with castanets, some Flamenco.
Teaching & Other Details
I teach castanets based on a structured, progressive and well thought through program-at the same time playful- acquired by a dance & music society from Spain. it is taught by creating a solid foundation for rhythm/percussion based on ear training: proper counting, clapping, contra tempo, subdividing time and there fore, developing solid listening skills and musicality.
Availability
At this point, I am flexible and should be able to accommodate students' schedule.
Preferred Teaching Place
I am willing to travel to my students' homes a.m. or p.m. or they are welcome to come to me to both locations where I work part-time namely to an elementary school in Burnaby and to a community center in Vancouver every afternoon till later. Day times available on Saturdays, (Sundays upon request and checking with the respective community center)
