Graduate of the engineering program from Nimbus School Of Recording Arts. Awarded a certificate for vocal performance from Berklee College Of Music. Studied psychology and literature at UBC.
Professional Experience
Five years teaching experience. Two years as a live sound engineer and stage hand. +100 hours work for: major labels, artists, films scores, and studios in Vancouver.
Teaching & Other Details
CAGED system for guitar, SOLFÈGE and sight-singing for piano and vocals. After a warm-up, I'll teach SOLFÈGE or rhythm theory, with the optional inclusion of advanced theories: modes, chord stacks, or post tonal music. The basic skills needed to speak the language of music will be at the student's disposal. I'm willing to try new methods or change my own as needed.
Availability
I'm flexible and can easily adapt to a student's schedule.
Preferred Teaching Place
I'm mobile and willing to meet anywhere. At my house in Kitsilano is convenient.
