I have five years of experience teaching private and group fiddle lessons, as well as assistant teaching at the internationally acclaimed school of celtic music on the Sunshine Coast. My students have competed in local music festivals and events, with great success. I have been trained in both the classical and folk traditions, and have myself played the violin/fiddle since I was three years old. I've had many opportunities to travel the country with my music, going as far as Toronto to play at a benefit concert hosted by Stuart McLean and Shelagh Rodgers of CBC radio.

Music Background & Credentials
I have taken private lessons for fifteen years, since the age of three, in both the classical and folk tradition. I have played in multiple groups, and have recorded a CD with one of them, which features a tune of my own composition.
Professional Experience
I have taught violin/fiddle for five years, and my students have appeared in many local music festivals and events. I primarily teach private lessons, although I have taught group lessons in the past and could certainly continue to do so if there are enough interested students!
Teaching & Other Details
I'm a great believer in learning to play both by ear and with sheet music. Both are vitally important to becoming a well rounded and versatile musician. I also highly value musical expression, rather than just musical knowledge. I will provide a solid musical theory foundation, but I will also guide students towards expressing music through their own unique voices.
