I began writing music at the age of 13, and have since written professionally for orchestra, theatre, big band, television, animation, and more. I have experience tutoring first- and second-year music students at my college, and I spent several years as a brass coach in a youth orchestra.
Teaching & Other Details
I like to adapt to my students' needs and set goals every lesson to help motivate them and track their progress. My approach when teaching theory is to leave the student with not only improved knowledge on a topic, but also the ability to apply it in their writing, improvisation, reading, listening, and playing.
