I have earned a Bachelor of Music from Humber College in 2011 and have been teaching guitar since 2000 through City Of Toronto Parks and Recreation, The Toronto District School Board's Learn 4 Life program and as a freelancer. I have successfully and uniquely combined the roles of artist and teacher, which has helped me encourage hundreds children and adults feel comfortable with music fundamentals and to develop their innate music-creating skills.

Professional Experience - 1. Guitar Instructor (Beginner and non-beginner levels) - Toronto District School Board, Learn For Life Program - City of Toronto, Parks and Recreation Program - 2007-present - Leader of two-hour guitar master classes of approximately twenty adult students, three semesters per year - Creator of ten-week curriculum covering melody, harmony, time and rhythm, blues - Created Sibelius files for exercises with staff notation, chord diagrams and foundational theoretical concepts - Designed and taught personalized, creative 30 minute private guitar lessons for children from age 5 to 15 - Provided tailored instruction of basic concepts and built a personal musical repertoire specific to the student's choice and educational needs - Liased with parents regarding students’ progress and made recommendations for further home study - Volunteered to be a clinician for damaged instruments 2.
