Jade Yoon was born in Seoul, Korea. She began studying the clarinet at the age of 12 and became known to the public when she got the position of concert master for wind orchestra and principle clarinetist in Sun-Hwa Art high school. Jade has performed at the International Clarinet Festival in China 2004, she won the Concerto Soloist young Artists competition in Seoul in 2005. While playing with many major Korean orchestras she became member of SISO(Seoul International Symphony Orchestra). She studied music in Dong-Duk Women's University. Now she resides in Vancouver, playing all types of music. she is principle clarinetist in VOC (vancouver orchestra club) Symphony. Her distinct modern, flexible clarinet playing sets her apart from the others. She now has a career in teaching and playing in chamber and ensembles
